Book review of In Pursuit of the Proper Sinner by Elizabeth GeorgeBook reviews - July 2001
Thomas Lynley and Barbara Havers are out looking for a murderer in Derbyshire. Two persons camping within the circle of stones called Nine Sisters Hedge have been brutaly murdered. Strangely enough, there doesn't seem to be any connection between the two victims.
The deeper they investigate in the case, the more secrets and strange persons gets involved. Apparently nothing is at all what it seems to be and the murderer is out to kill more people...will the detectives manage to stop him before he kills someone else? This 718 pages thick murder mystery is my first acquaintance with the two detectives, and it's a quite nice meeting. You are keen to find out more and try to spot down who the murder might be before the detectives. Highly recommended summer read,do not get scared by the large amount of pages; it's very easy reading, the pages will fly by.
